The Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act (TLATA) is the act which abolished the doctrine of conversion (a doctrine in the law of real property, according to which the purchaser of real property becomes the equitable owner of title to the property when they sign a contract to purchase the land at a later date) and amended the law about the appointment and retirement of trustees.
